Steve Lauer is restoring a 1971 Dodge Charger. The photos only show the primed exterior. Steve has put a tremendous amount of time in detailing the entire engine compartment, dash, door jambs, trunk, undercarriage, and suspension. The interior is being transformed from vinyl to a combination of Black Coachman Vinyl and Dartmouth Charcoal Velour for the center insert material. The car is sure to be a show stopper when finished. Below are photos of the unfinished paint and a shot of the rear seat before being upholstered. The padding under the carpet has a foil backing on the bottom side. The idea is to reflect the heat before it gets in the cabin. The foil also acts as a sound barrier. It will be an extra hidden compliment to the car.
